We Recycle

Mailboxes of Iowa City tries to use as much recycled material in their packaging as possible. This helps us have the most competitive packaging prices in the area along with keeping packing materials out of our landfill. Listed below are the items that we recycle along with items that we are unable to accept.

RECYCLING GUIDELINES 

1. We will recycle Styrofoam peanuts that are clean and separated from other materials.

2. We will recycle bubble wrap pieces that are a minimum of 12” x 12”, clean and separated from other materials.

3. We will recycle plastic air pockets that are clean and separated from other materials. 

WE DO NOT RECYCLE THE FOLLOWING ITEMS

1. Cardboard (Please take to City Carton)

2. Paper (Please take to City Carton)

3. Styrofoam that is formed, dirty or smaller than 24” x 24”. (We are not aware of any place that recycles this material.)

4. Fiberboard of any type. (Please take to City Carton, it is recycled the same as cardboard.)

5. Styrofoam coolers including wine containers. (We are not aware of any place that recycles this material.) 

• PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE RECYCLED MATERIAL WHEN MAILBOXES OF IOWA CITY IS NOT OPEN FOR BUSINESS.
